Spiritual Morning Rituals To Start Your Day Off Right

1. Take a "dream inventory."

Do you dream? If so, do you vividly remember your dreams or just awaken with a vague notion of having dreamt about something? Whether you believe that dreams can harbor spiritual or divine messages, or just think they are a peek into your subconscious, remembering and interpreting them can help you gain insight. Writing them down as soon as you wake up is the best way to do this. Keep a pen and a journal right by your bedside so you can jot down all of the details that you still remember. Dreams tend to get hazier as time goes on, so it is best to do this as soon as you wake up.

This can also help you set an intention for your day.

2. Pay attention to your shower routine.

Chances are you know about spiritual baths. Even if you do not have the time for a long soak in the morning, you can still use this power in the shower. When you get in, let the shower water stream over you as you visualize it rinsing away any unwanted energy left over from the previous day. Next, wash up with a spiritual soap that is aligned to your desires. There are soaps for money drawing, success, love, and even all-purpose soaps to help you experience luck, love, protection, prosperity, and healing across all aspects of your life. For best results, allow yourself to air dry. Finish your toilette with a spiritual perfume or cologne, or a dusting of sachet powder.

No time for a shower? You can use these soaps to wash your hands instead.

3. Have a short morning meditation.

While you are waiting to dry, or just before you get dressed, you may want to have a small meditation. Do something to set this time apart for yourself: Play relaxing music, use a singing bowl, light incense (like sandalwood, or palo santo and myrrh), or light a purple candle anointed with Meditation oil.

Scan your body for any areas of tension, "prickliness," or energy that feels sticky or stagnant. Breathe through it, willing yourself to relax and let your energy body return to its natural flow. Do not worry if you get distracted or your mind wanders, simply gently return to the task at hand. Continue this process until you feel ready to stop.

4. Perform some form of gentle physical activity.

This can be as simple as a stretch. It does not really matter what you do as long as you do it with intention. Say, out loud, that all of the energy you use right now will go toward your goal. Visualize it coming off of your muscles in wisps, traveling through the ether, and opening all windows, doors, and roads for you as it goes.

If you like, you may wish to light a candle as you do this. You can even turn it into a kind of moving meditation to help you focus and clear your thoughts. If you do not have a definite intention in mind, you can use a white candle dressed with frankincense oil and carved with your name. For more specific goals, choose a candle color and oil that align with your desire. Whatever you choose to do, never leave a burning candle unattended.

5. Shield your energy.

By now, you are likely washed, dressed, fed, and invigorated by some gentle exercise. If you are ready to go about your day, it is time to practice shielding your energy before you step out of the door.

If you have any talismans or shielding crystals (like hematite or black tourmaline), now is a good time to make sure that they are in your pockets. When you are ready, close your eyes. Picture a bubble of golden light surrounding you. This bubble is strong, yet permeable. It allows all good energy and blessings in but keeps all ill intentions and malevolent energy out. With every breath you exhale, you fortify this bubble with more protective, glowing power. When you feel that your energetic bubble is firmly in place, open your eyes.

If you have trouble dragging yourself out of bed, these simple rituals can give you something to look forward to in the morning. With time, they will help you feel relaxed, refreshed, and empowered to face the day.
