Cleansing saint michael house home

House Cleansing with Saint Michael

Cleansing your space helps free up and mobilize stagnant energy, eliminate negative energy, and bring in more lightness and positivity. If your home seems stuffier than usual, or you have been experiencing more fatigue, anxiety, or other unpleasant feelings, giving your house a quick cleanse can make a world of difference.

The Saint of Cleansing and Protection

Saint Michael is a bit of a misnomer. He is not actually a saint the way other saints are, he is an archangel. He is the leader of God's army in the Catholic faith and is associated with grocers, doctors, soldiers, police, and illness. His primary responsibility is to battle evil. In Revelation, a portion of the Christian bible said to describe the end of the world, he and God's army will do battle with a dragon. With this in mind, it is easy to see why Saint Michael is often invoked for cleansing and protection from evil.

House Cleansing with Saint Michael

The archangel Michael is a powerful spiritual ally against evil and negative energies. If you wish, you can ask him for help to perform a thorough, top-to-bottom house cleansing.

First, start by physically cleaning your home. Thoroughly vacuum, sweep, wash windows, wipe counters, and organize, donate, or throw away any clutter. Open up your curtains, blinds, and windows to let the air and sunlight in. (Air and sunlight are two of the best, easiest-to-use natural energy cleansers.) Then, you can progress to the spiritual clearing.

If you have hard floors in your home, fill a bucket with clean water and add some Saint Michael floor wash. Mop your floors from the back of your home to the front, and discard the dirty water outside. When your floors have dried, sprinkle some Saint Michael sachet powder in the corners of each room.

Next, you must find the heart of your home. For most places, this will be the kitchen, dining room, or living room -- wherever your family spends the most time together. Dress a white Saint Michael candle with a few drops of Saint Michael oil, and place it in a safe area in this room. Say...

Saint Michael, powerful angel, and leader of the divine army,
I ask you to cleanse and drive away all evil, tension, and negativity from this place.
Protect my home, loved ones, and myself from all harm.
Thank you, amen.

If you have a specific request -- if someone has been ill, for example, and you want to cleanse the energy of that sickness from your home -- feel free to add it.

Light the candle. Carry it into each room of your home, and repeat the prayer. If you like, you can also carry a small dish of Saint Michael incense to smoke cleanse each room. (If you are in a situation where you cannot burn anything, like a dorm room, Saint Michael spray is a suitable substitute.)

When you are through cleansing each room, return to the heart of your home. Place the candle in a safe spot again, and allow it to burn completely. If you have to leave it unattended, snuff it and relight it when you return. When the candle has completely burned away, dispose of the remains somewhere far from your home.

Asking for Protection

After cleansing, you may wish to fortify your space with the archangel's spiritual protection. Create a place of honor with a candle, some incense or spray, and a statue or cross. Keep this space clean, neat, and dust-free. Light the candle regularly, and use this place to offer your thanks and make requests for healing and protection.

Saint Michael is one of the most powerful figures in Catholicism. As the leader of God's army, he is an unstoppable force when it comes to banishing evil. If you feel that your home needs a good spiritual cleansing, there are a few entities better at helping you to clear away negative energy and keep your space safe from evil.
